King and Peasant is an asymmetrical 2-player 18-card microgame in which one plays the king and the other the peasants. The peasants are unhappy with the king and have employed an assassin to "retire" him. The king has found out about the plot. He must try to protect himself and catch the assassin before he is taken by surprise.

Playing as the King
Find ways to discard the Assassin or empty the deck

Playing as the Peasants
Insert the Assassin into the deck and hope that the King draws it
